Claire Gagnon Art - PortraitsPortraits seem to come most naturally to Claire, as oppose to landscapes or abstracts. Using her artist "license" for colors, Claire lays on the canvas the quality of the model. Starting with yellows or the lighter tones, Claire's builds the portrait in layers. It usually comes alive halfway through the painting, Claire tries to restrict the number of different colors used from the tube to paint each portrait, to stay within an harmony. |
